From Farm to Table: Transforming The Shrimp Industry through Food Traceability and Business Differentiation Strategies at PT. Udang Maju Sejahtera

This thesis investigates the development of a food traceability system for shrimp export industry at PT. Udang Maju Sejahtera (UMS). The primary objective was to enhance transparency and accountability supply chain, thereby improving product quality consumer trust. study employed three-pronged approach: formulating robust business strategy, innovating development, restructuring organization into cross-functional team. strategy focused on aligning company’s operations with emerging demands in market. innovation involved creation that leverages advanced technology track record journey from farm consumer. team aimed streamline decision-making process accelerate cycle. results indicated while UMS’s aligns industry’s direction towards increased traceability, time-consuming required organizational restructuring. concludes integration within UMS could expedite implementation system, enhancing competitiveness industry. Recommendations include management, investing technology, collaborating external partners, adopting culture continuous improvement. Future research should explore long-term impacts these recommendations performance system’s effectiveness.
